This website started out as a series of emails to my kids (they are 2 and 5 at the time of this writing Dec 2023).

 

​It was the classic parent fear of “If I got hit by a bus tomorrow, there would be so much I wouldn’t have the chance to tell them!”​

 

Like any human, I’ve had periods of anguish, existential crisis, and emotional pain--especially in my youth. Looking back at this stage (age 42), I realize some of it was an inevitable part of the human condition but that some of it could have been avoided--or massively smoothed out--by concepts I was late to knowing or didn’t have modeled in my life.

 

​All of that, combined with a spark from Rainn Wilson’s excellent book Soul Boom, and a pair of bible passages below, inspired me to make those “emails” to my kids more accessible. This was with the hope they could be of use to my fellow man/woman.

 

​Here’s a sincere prayer hoping they are.​
